Putāruru is a small town in the South Waikato District and the Waikato region of New Zealand's North Island. It lies on the western side of the Mamaku Ranges and in the upper basin of the Waihou River. It is on the Oraka Stream 65 kilometres south-east of Hamilton. State Highway 1 and the Kinleith Branch railway run through the town. A waterpark is one of the attractions of Putaruru, known now for its natural springs that are used to produce bottled water. The striking modernist building in the background is the former post office, built in 1969.
About the Rimu 181
“Most Popular Lifestyle Starter Home Design” for 2012! Feature packed – an affordable lifestyle home that ticks all the boxes! The smartest wide frontage starter home available. At around 19 meters wide, the Rimu 181 looks right at home on a lifestyle section. In its ideal orientation (north up) the Alfresco and living areas are bathed in warm morning light, creating a most comfortable home. On hot summer afternoons, the harsh western sun falls on the wall of the garage, laundry and master bedroom leaving living areas shaded and cool. When well oriented, this home will passively heat and cool itself quite well – saving you money and keeping you comfortable! Cross ventilation! With windows on each side of the home you’ll be able to fling them open and enjoy the sort of freshness that only a gentle breeze flowing through your home can bring. The Rimu design truly brings the outdoors in. With windows everywhere and large glass stacker doors you’ll be sure to capture every vista. Enjoy loads of bench space with our popular galley kitchen with walk-in pantry.
