Support Local

Deciding what builder to use for your new home is not always easy.

There are many options out there, all offering different home plans, warranties and price points.

Stroud Homes is made up of a national base of local builders who have purchased a Stroud franchise in their local area.

Why build local?

When building with a local home builder you can expect a more personal service, someone who is part of the community and knows the ins and outs of local rules and regulations.

They hire local trades, support local suppliers and local families, and ensure the money stays locally.

By enlisting a builder like Stroud Homes, you are helping your local community stay alive and thrive.

Meet your local home builder Mike Wilson

Born and bred locally, home builder Mike started working with his father in Pokeno Pukekohe at the mere age of 16.

He has now been in the construction industry for the better part of his life.

During his career, Mike has gained experience building both commercial and residential dwellings. He has also worked on a number of home extensions and renovations.

Mike hires all local subtrades and contractors, and is dedicated to providing a more personal service and one-on-one contact with his clients for a satisfactory build.

Giving back

Giving back to the community is an important part of Stroud Homes’ ethos and Mike and his team are supporting local support groups and community halls, providing maintenance and service.

Stroud Homes is also known for their environmental awareness and their tree planting day every year.

For every house built, Stroud Homes will contribute 15 trees to a local reforestation project. So, when you build with Stroud Homes New Zealand you could also be contributing to important reforestation projects planned for your area.

These reforestation projects involve more than just planting trees:

  • Control exotic weeds pre-plant.
  • Control grass and weeds around newly planted trees and shrubs.
  • Application of soil wetting agents.
