Congratulations, you’ve done the hard yards! You have save for a deposit, you have researched the best home builder and house plan and now the only thing left is to start building your home.
Before the slab can be poured and the contract signed, you will have an initial meeting with your home builder. This meeting is crucial in setting expectations for your new home.
Here is how to best prepare before meeting with your Stroud Homes builder:
Questions to ask
It’s a good idea to come prepared to your first meeting with a good idea of the home you would like to build in terms of size, number of bedrooms and a vague idea of style.
Do you already have land to build on or are you currently in the market for a section? With this information and an idea of your budget we can work with you to begin designing your new home.

It’s helpful if you can bring along a few ideas of floor plans you like the look and feel of, even if there is only sections of each that you like.

While we can’t give a definite completion date at your initial meeting due to unknown timeframes in design and council, once your drawings are consented we will be able to give you a clear date.
